Riding bicycle and climbing mountains to meet and interview fellow survivors!
Sharing our stories to give hope and inspire others.
Found an old blog post I started. I can wait for my bone to heal so I can get moving on these projects. These setbacks have been a little depressing, Life can be hard, but it can be really good.
Portland got hit with some really cold weather and I just don't do well when it is below 45 degrees. My pain levels go off the charts and in Portland it is often raining. I just don't have the right gear to get out on the bike in 40 degree rain. I still do it! I even enjoy it with the right gear. Not sure how to stay dry with my new recumbent. The rain ends up pouring into spots it never reached before and it can be a cold surprise.
I want to make a Velo and found this one that is close to my trailer idea. Here is a link to his blog.
My idea is to take a full sheet of really thin plywood and bend it into a horseshoe shape so it looks like an old chuck wagon. I'm reaching out to a few wagon builders to see if they can give some ideas. I like these ones.
Right now I'm sick so I'm just resting. I wrote another survivor story. and got most of the work done. Decide to let the Doctor try and block the tongue pain again. Looking forward to sharing some more stories
